Dear Volunteer,

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Delaware County Citizen Corps.  We hope that you will find your volunteer experience both challenging and fulfilling as you carry out the mission of the Delaware County Department of Emergency Services through our Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), and/or County Animal Response Team (DelCART).

The mission of the Delaware County Citizen Corps is to improve the emergency preparedness, health, and safety of the residents of Delaware County by establishing a group of individually affiliated volunteers and affiliated community, faith based, non-government, and business partners committed to augment our existing first responders and emergency management staff during times of a major emergency or disaster in or around Delaware County. Enthused and motivated volunteers like you are integral to fulfilling our commitment to serve our county in times of need. Thank you so much for making the Delaware County Citizen Corps part of your volunteer activities.

This website was created to help you begin your volunteer experience, keep in touch with other volunteers, and our program activities.  From this page you can access training and other activities, register for these actives, and sign up on ServPA, our volunteer communications website.  We have additional plans for this site and look forward to any input you may have.

It is easy to get started…just click on the "Volunteer" button above and you will see instructions on how to sign up.

Once again, welcome to the Delaware County Citizen Corps, and thank you for your commitment to service.  Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns at mrc@co.delaware.pa.us.

Warmly,
